Psalm 1 QT

I am wondering what would happen if I followed Psalm one and meditated on God’s word (law) day and night… for a whole year… Does anyone want to follow this experiment with me for a year and see how your life changes?

Psalm 1

BOOK I : Psalms 1-41

¹ Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

² But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

³ He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

⁴ Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.

⁵ Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

⁶ For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.

My QT

Today I learned something as I was spending time with God’s word (The Message)  in Ezekiel.  That denial and despair is something that all of us face.  Some deny what is going on around them and some give up on life because they become hopeless in what they see they believe is their ultimate end.  But this is not true what is true is that God is sovereign over everything even in catastrophe’s.   For the denial people he showed them so they would embrace God in the worst of times.  And for the despair people he showed them that the destruction was not the end but rather the beginning of creating a new people of God.
